Important notice for those on the water in the North next month: The Singapore Airshow 2024 flying rehearsal and display will be held off Changi International Airport Floating platforms will be placed in position from 06 Feb 2024 till 25 Feb 2024. Vessels are required to keep clear of these floating platforms. All vessels are required to keep clear of the sea area within a radius of one nautical mile (1852m) from the centre of the floating platform during the flying practice, rehearsal and display times as indicated. The Inaugural Thailand Yachting Conference will be held on Wednesday, 10 January 2024, at the White House in Phuket Boat Lagoon, and leads into the Thailand International Boat Show from 11-14 January 2024. The conference brings together leading industry professionals from Thailand and around the region to share insights on yacht sales, business opportunities, cruising regulation, infrastructure, innovations in technology, statistics, and best practices. Wicky Sundram, a well-known industry professional will host Thailand Yachting Conference, following on from the success of the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference which he also hosted. Our own Wade Pearce, has taken on the role of conference producer and boat show advisor “Thailand has the most significant impact on yachts cruising in the region; no other country in Asia has it all quite like Thailand, beautiful cruising grounds, quality service, and experienced professionals. Thailand International Boat Show 2024 expanded lineup and activities TIBS organiser JAND Events has confirmed an expanded lineup and activities, with the aim of promoting yacht tourism and establishing Thailand as a leading destination for marine leisure in the region. The event will feature a wide range of sail and power vessels, ranging from tenders to big boats, in its in-water display at Royal Phuket Marina from 11-14 January 2024. Alongside the boat exhibition, there will be an onshore display of marine products and services, luxurious lifestyle offerings, and various social activities on the boardwalk The event will also debut the Thailand Yachting Conference, which will cover topics such as Thailand’s appeal as a yachting destination, immigration and infrastructure updates, and regulations in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand regions. There will also be industry panel discussions on subjects like superyachts, yacht charter, management, and technology and sustainability. Awesome first Singapore Boating Lifestyle event at Lazarus Island on Saturday 5 August 2023 with a turn out of 32 yachts, jetskis and kayaks bringing over 100 people throughout the afternoon. The good times flowed with glorious weather, great tunes, delicious hotdogs by Sidecar Handcrafted and keeping everyone hydrated were Straits Wine and VELTINS beer on tap. Boaters and their guests were able to test out some of the coolest water toys in the world, the Seabob APAC underwater scooter, The Kinetic Option TKO TYPE-001 Electric jet board and SipaBoards electric Stand Up Paddle board all offering free demos and tryouts during the afternoon. Not only boat owners but also boating industry got involved, RHIB Rides Singapore and Kairos with their autonomous rescue raft, as well boats from The Boat Shop Asia, Simpson Marina, Azmiut Yachts Singapore, Hong Seh Yachting and Boat Lagoon Yachting, along with charter companies Circa Sail and Aquaholic.
