Recently, I embraced one of the most formidable challenges in my professional career—speaking Mandarin on Capital 958 FM, a Chinese radio station. While my Mandarin proficiency may still be a work in progress, the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone was incredibly rewarding. During this engaging podcast, I delved into the common hurdles individuals face when transitioning to a career in technology. We celebrated inspiring success stories from Heicoders' community, highlighting the transformative power of dedication and robust support system. We also touched on something seldom talked about in the tech education industry - career transition isn't for everyone. The journey is fraught with challenges and demands persistent effort. Sometimes, learners might benefit more by integrating the skills they have learned into their current role to contribute more value. Overall this was a really fun experience.
