I help leaders raise their own and their team's performance at work. Performance Consultant | Executive Coach | Published Author

Absolutely thrilled that my book “Head to Heart to Habit” topped the Singapore Straits Times’ Weekly Bestsellers list this past week. That this came to be is only because of the wonderful support I got along the way. To everyone who turned up for the launch a week ago, my heartfelt thanks. To everyone who helped me with the contents of the book, I wrote this in the book – and I’d like to repeat it here please: “I am incredibly grateful to Able Cheong, Andre Wai, Ari Beilinson, Ebrahim Mama, Eileen Aung-Thwin, Gwendel Tung, Mithran Doraisamy, Sanjiv Koghar and Steven Yeo. You took the time to read my ugly drafts, listened to my bad ideas and most importantly, set me on a better path each time. The drafts got less ugly because of you. Any coffee, lunch and beer I bought in return didn’t do your contributions justice, so I am still in your debt. I look forward to repaying that debt for years to come. Thank you again.” My heart is full. Or as we say in Sg, “I’m happy like toad.” Even if it’s a short bald one. +++ Books are available on Amazon online and in Kinokuniya (stocks will be replenished early this week). Links in first comment. +++ Pic 2 and Pic 3 credit: Chee Peng Ong, photographer extraordinaire 🙏 #headtohearttohabit #behaviouralchange

I help leaders raise their own and their team's performance at work. Performance Consultant | Executive Coach | Published Author

I’m thrilled to announce the pre-launch of my book: “Head to Heart to Habit: Why 90% of Efforts at Behavioural Change Fail and How to Overcome It”. NINE IN TEN heart bypass patients don’t change their behaviours post-treatment. In a matter literally relating to life and death, only a staggering 10% actually change the lifestyles that caused their heart conditions. Yet at work, managers are surprised when their teams don’t change their behaviours after a quick chat. Chances are that the same surprised manager who’s been asked by their own manager to change a behaviour has also been struggling to do so. Join me as I explain the gap that so often exists between our intention and action – and how we can close that gap. Whether you’re an experienced senior leader, a mid-level manager or a young executive in your first job, this book will help you be more adaptable – at work, at home and at play. And in an age of hyper-change, adaptability is a superpower. 👉 For more information about the book (including peek reads and downloadable frameworks): www.headtohearttohabit.com 👉 Amazon SG (pre-order, ships to Sg only): https://lnkd.in/g4UcRdfU 👉 Kinokuniya Books Singapore: https://lnkd.in/gquDfbxS 👉 Physical book launch event: 7 September 2024, 2-3pm, Ngee Ann City Kinokuniya. Come and chat! +++ 🙏 A big thank you to Allen Lew, for graciously agreeing to write the Foreword to the book. 🙏 To Nicole Gionet, Roque Lozano, Jeann Low, Mithran Doraisamy, Kenneth Chan, Laurence Tan, Norliza Kassim, Ari Beilinson: my heartfelt gratitude for your very kind words about the book. I look forward to thanking each of you in person soon! +++ Knowledge gets us started. Motivation gets us going. Ultimately, Momentum – and Habits – get us growing. #headtohearttohabit #leadership #executivecoaching #behaviouralchange #changemanagement

Venture Innovator | Bestselling Author | I help business leaders find new revenue streams for growth to exit in 36 months

Let's unlock the collective potential of Edtech Startups It was great meeting with Alex Ng and Swee Siong LEE to explore how we could help Edtech founders breakthrough with new revenue engines to potentially help boost the value of their enterprises for an exit. We shared experiences and explored: - pooling complementary companies together to offer solutions that exert a bigger impact on the target users and acquirers. When small revenue-based startups come together, they contribute to a larger recurring revenue base that may be attractive to potential acquirers. They also exert a bigger impact on their target customers and may present opportunities to create audaciously desirable offerings (ADOs). - an IPO exit may not be the best option - founders and investors need to take note of how this avenue may not bode well for the exiting startup's stakeholders. But is still worth a consideration if the opportunity arises and the startup qualifies for this route. Where to IPO and who is helping with the IPO will be important considerations. - if we dig deep and look hard into the asset based of startups, we may discover hidden gems that the founders have largely ignored. These gems do not fit the core business of the startups but could be used to spin a totally new offering, targeting a different customer or offer a different revenue model with the same user, and turn out to be a powerful growth engine that could transform the business. The key to enable to this is to approach the audit process with no baggage and a laser focus to find assets that are bankable. There is so much potential for growth in areas yet to be explored. Can't wait to collaborate and find new ways to breakthrough in the Edtech space! Happy to have also shared a copy of 📘 The Fast Founder 📙 with Alex as a reference to some of the ideas I had for transforming startups.
