#SeniorSpotlight | “Hello everyone! My name is Owen K and I am in Year 13. I’ve been at Winstedt for 5 years and I feel so uncertain about graduating from Winstedt in June. This is because I am used to the community at Winstedt where the teachers give me a lot of support when I need it. I also have done a lot of ECAs to inspire my future opportunities and interests. My plan is to become a sports teacher to work with kids and help engage them in enjoyable play time and teamwork. My favourite class from my time at Winstedt was Math in Year 9. Because I had Ms Tara, who is still at Winstedt and Ms Pushpaa, who is a former Winstedt Teacher. Thank you for the opportunity to share a bit about myself!”

Winstedt reunions are our favourite! Martin and Wei Ru expressed their gratitude for the impact of the Winstedt Way™ on their son, Daniel's growth and development. "Daniel has come on in leaps and bounds in all aspects, and we have nothing but praise and gratitude for the school and the dedication, love, and support shown to Daniel by everyone in whose care he was placed, particularly Ms Karina and her team," they shared. Daniel's visit from the US, where he now attends the British International School of Chicago, shows the lasting impact of our school community. Building bridges through books! #bookweek Our Middle and Senior school students embraced the joy of reading as they read their favourite books to their peers in Junior School and Early Years 💙💚 One student, Benita, took it a step further, illustrating and writing her own 'Number Blocks' storybook for this special session! Peer reading fosters social and emotional growth; Younger readers benefit from seeing fluent reading in action and gain positive role models. Meanwhile, older students develop patience and empathy as they guide younger readers through stories. Changemakers is a community service project, designed for our Senior School, aiming to engage students in meaningful service activities while fostering social integration, collaboration, teamwork, and effective communication. 🐾 Paw-tastic: Our students are championing animal welfare, raising awareness, and supporting animal shelters to combat abuse and mistreatment.   🥖 Bare Necessities Drive: Join us in collecting essential items for donation to the Salvation Army, helping those in need in our community.   🤳🏻 Robin Hood: Bridging generations, our students are empowering the elderly with technology and social connections, enriching lives and combating loneliness.   🍽 Project Food Drive: Students are setting up a food drive to support those without access to food, exploring safe delivery methods to ensure donations reach those in need.   🐈🐶 The WildBearNiCats: Facilitating adoptions for sheltered animals, promoting responsible pet ownership, and creating campaigns to find them loving homes.   🕺 EDGE: Students are showcasing their creativity through design and math skills for a year-end runway show.   Together, we're making a difference!
