Updates

  • We are thrilled to share that Ms. Gloria James recently appeared on Class 95 FM’s Muttons In The Morning to discuss the evolving landscape of divorce and the vital role of Divorce Coaching, which is all about providing guidance and support through the divorce process, helping people stay focused and prepared throughout the divorce process. Divorce coaching helps to: - Clarify goals and priorities - Understand the divorce process, including best- and worst-case scenarios - Develop strategies to manage emotional challenges - Approach negotiations and court proceedings with a clear, confident mindset. The landscape of divorce is changing. More individuals are seeking alternatives to traditional litigation, exploring options like therapeutic justice, mediation, and collaborative divorce. Divorce coaching aligns with this shift, focusing on a constructive, future-oriented process rather than a contentious battle. As awareness grows around the value of a holistic approach to divorce, the role of a coach becomes essential. It’s not just about legal matters; it’s also about addressing emotional and practical aspects. Divorce is a life-altering experience that impacts one`s emotional, financial, and social well-being. While legal representation is crucial, the emotional and practical elements often require dedicated attention. This is where divorce coaching makes a difference. Divorce Coaching helps individuals, clarify their goals and priorities; understand the divorce process (including best- and worst-case scenarios); develop strategies to cope with emotional challenges and prepare them for negotiations and court proceedings with a clear mindset. #DivorceCoaching #TherapeuticJustice #Mediation #GloriaJames #Class95FM #Support #EmotionalWellBeing #CollaborativeDivorce

  • 𝐖𝐡𝐨’𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 ‘𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫’ 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞? When facing a divorce, both parents may feel certain they’re the most suitable caregiver for their child. But how does the court make that difficult decision? What factors influence the court's perspective on who is the “𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧” parent? Is it about who’s consistently cared for the child or more about future stability and the support each parent can provide? Courts look at evidence of past caregiving, considering if a parent has been involved in daily responsibilities and shown consistent care. They examine the emotional bond each parent shares with the child, especially if one parent has been the primary caregiver since birth. What’s next also matters. A parent’s vision for a stable home life and structured routines can make a strong impression. At the same time, courts value a parent’s willingness to encourage the child’s relationship with the other parent, signalling a commitment to the child’s emotional well-being and reducing conflict. When the child is mature enough, courts may even consider their wishes, but this raises its own questions: does this put unnecessary pressure on the child, or does it provide them a voice in their future? Reflecting on these considerations, parents can better understand the court’s perspective and focus on the actions that truly matter for their child’s wellbeing. #DivorceSupport #ChildCustody #FamilyLaw #ParentingThroughDivorce #BestInterestsOfTheChild #CoParenting
