Where did the time go! All of a sudden, it is Q2 - the pace of innovation at Affinidi is scarily fast, but that's expected while we build the future! I can't believe it was over a month ago that 120+ pax from the worldwide Affinidi team made their way to Goa for our 2024 Offsite. As a CTO, these team events are incredibly important because it brings everyone together to share roadmaps and company updates, and even more importantly, create lasting personal relationships that transcend timezones and distance. I can't imagine having an 'offsite' for 120+ pax virtually - it just wouldn't have the same impact. But in person, magic happened! So much folklore was created. Many legends were born :) On a personal level, offsites like these allow team members from our different locations and cultures to get a chance to meet the peers they have been working with, but never had a chance to meet until the offsite. On a company level, it reinforces our ways of working, our cross-functional alignment, our tenets, and our commitment to common goals. It was a fantastic week in Goa, the event operations & logistics were very smooth, and I especially enjoyed the Bollywood-themed Welcome Dinner - the competitive streak in the team to be the best dressed was, let's say, very healthy, but of course the India team knocked it out of the park :) It was great being able to bring everyone together, learning together, committing to our common goals for 2024. I can't thank Konceptualize Events enough for their professionalism in organising this valuable team event for us, and I look forward to raising the bar even further for our next offsite! Reflecting on an extraordinary “Unlocking ASEAN: Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges” Symposium!   With a remarkable turnout of over 400 attendees, both in-person and virtually, Drew Network Asia's recent event at the JW Marriott South Beach, Singapore, was an event to remember. The grand ballroom buzzed with engaging discussions and fruitful networking opportunities, creating an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm. Coming back from Affinidi very first kickoff in Goa. Was great to have teams across Ukraine, Germany, Singapore and India come together. We still have a lot to learn, do and build but with this team we will give it a go. That’s for sure. It was also humbling to hear feedback and questions from the team as we try to fundamentally change data ownership.
