Our retail REIT, Frasers Centrepoint Trust (#FCT) has released its 1HFY24 results where it reported healthy financial performance underpinned by robust business operation across its portfolio.   FCT had a positive start to the year with notable milestones including raising gross proceeds of ~$200m through its private placement which was ~2.5 times covered, winning Best Green Financing Solution, Singapore Award at The Asset Triple A Awards 2024, being included in The Straits Times Index and completing the acquisition of the additional 24.5% effective interest in NEX from its Sponsor.   “FCT achieved a healthy set of results for 1H24 on robust operating performance. The Singapore suburban retail market remained resilient. Our portfolio achieved good leasing traction that underpinned better rental reversions and near-full occupancy across all our malls. In October last year, our Group Chief Executive Officer Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, who sits on Singapore Management University (SMU) Board of Trustees, attended the opening of Overseas Centre Bangkok, located at our mixed-use development Samyan Mitrtown. SMU Overseas Centre Bangkok aims to create a vibrant ecosystem facilitating the exchange of knowledge and ideas through partnerships with Thai academics, businesses and the wider industry. This will further enable Thailand’s robust pipeline of high-quality professionals, aligning the nation’s workforce with the needs of global organisations and the international labour market. This partnership builds on how we approach our real estate spaces which are designed with the community’s needs in mind. ☀️ We are partnering SP Group to install close to 4,500 square metres of solar panels across seven of our retail and commercial properties in #Singapore – Alexandra Technopark, Causeway Point, Century Square, Hougang Mall, Northpoint City, Tampines 1 and White Sands. This is also Singapore’s largest single solarisation roll-out for retail malls to date! 🎉 With this latest initiative, Frasers Property will have a total of 14,250 sqm of solar panels across 10 of its owned or managed retail and commercial properties in Singapore. 🤝 Today, our management inked a partnership agreement with SP Group to mark our collaboration on energy-saving solutions. Su Lin Soon, CEO of Frasers Property Singapore, Richard Ng, CEO of the Manager of Frasers Centrepoint Trust, Anthea Lee, CEO of the Manager of Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust as well as SP Group representatives Harsha Sundararaman, Managing Director of Sustainable Energy Solutions, SP Group, Ivan Tan, Managing Director of SP Digital for SP Group and Michael Tian Lim, Head of Energy Services for Singapore and Malaysia of SP Group, were on hand to sign the partnership agreement. Frasers Property Singapore Head of Sustainability & Safety Kew Yuan Chun delivered the opening address. When completed, the solar panels are expected to: ⚡ Generate 920,000 kWh of energy, enough to power 450 4-room HDB flats ⚡ Reduce our carbon emissions by 370 tonnes, equivalent to removing 80 cars off the road This agreement marks another milestone in our partnership with SP Group, which includes the installation of electronic vehicle chargers at our retail malls; the development of a distributed district cooling network in Tampines; adopting SP Group’s Green Energy Tech™ TenantCare to monitor our tenant energy consumption across 17 of our #retail and #commercial properties in #Singapore; and implementing smart energy solutions at Binh Duong Industrial Park in #Vietnam.
