Prudential Assurance Company Singapore is a proud supporter of the IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore Golden Jubilee ITE Scholarship 📚 Our Chief Human Resources Officer, Neetha Nair, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide ITE students with scholarships and internships to hone their skills, gain real-world experience, and introduce them to rewarding careers in the financial sector. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Trade and Industry, and Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Gan Kim Yong's recognition of our TEE-Up programme in his keynote address is a strong validation of our commitment to developing future talent in the finance industry. Sherman Tay who was part of our inaugural batch of ITE interns also had the chance to share his internship experience with DPM Gan. Our existing TEE-Up partnership with ITE aims to help 3,000 ITE students develop essential workplace skills to thrive in their careers. Over the past two years, the larger TEE-Up programme has flourished into a thriving community of 3,600 young adults, empowering them to navigate the transition from schools to the workplace. In April, Prudential Assurance Company Singapore organised a session for Institute of Technical Education (ITE) students to understand financial concepts by playing our board game InsurAce and inspire them to share what they learn with others in their communities. Through this, we aim to create a multiplier effect by nurturing these students as ‘trainers’ who can share their knowledge with their peers and secondary school students. This initiative is part of our three-year MOU with ITE which will give students access to career content and courses on automation, financial literacy, generative AI, design thinking as well as internship opportunities and the TEE-Up mentorship programme. TEE-Up is a community platform to connect Gen Zs and working professionals to discover career insights and perspectives in the future of work. We are excited to expand our educational outreach to more Institutes of Higher Learning and empower more students to become financially astute. Want to play InsurAce? 🌍We took a refreshing dive into the world of herbal wellness and #sustainability with an initiative by our Workplace Services team and CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) team. The Herbal Tea Session was conducted by our talented urban farmers from Grobrix on how to grow our own herbs and transform these green treasures into soothing wellness teas. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with nature and fellow colleagues, while gaining insights into sustainable living and personal well-being. Let's continue to nurture our planet and ourselves, one cup of tea at a time. 🍵 #Wellness #EarthDay

Chrystal Ang, Sustainability Manager at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, made a bold career switch from research to #sustainability in 2023. Her homestay in Japan and the 'Mottainai' philosophy of reducing waste and respecting resources strengthened her belief that businesses can drive real-world impact. To pursue this path, Chrystal embarked on the Workforce Singapore’s Career Conversion Programme administered by IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore, to equip herself with the necessary skills and knowledge. Her experience was highlighted by Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Board Member of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) at the launch of the Sustainable Finance Jobs Transformation Map (JTM). The Sustainable Finance JTM outlines the impact of sustainability trends on jobs in Singapore’s financial sector and the skills needed to meet sustainable financing demand in the region.
