  • 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 🔎 Detecting a fault buried 50 metres underground At SP Group, we constantly leverage technology to improve our work processes and service to our customers.  With tiny in-pipe cameras, our Gas Operations team can now detect and address pipeline issues — without unnecessary excavations. Besides pipeline repairs, we've also introduced smart pressure sensors to enable real-time alerts when low gas pressure occurs. Our teams can troubleshoot more quickly and determine the best course of action to maintain reliable piped gas supply. On average, a piped gas customer in Singapore experienced only four seconds of supply interruption last year. Learn how Louis Ang, Deputy Director of Distribution Pipeline Operations and Maintenance and Muhammad Hadi Bin Abu Bakar, Principal Technical Officer, integrate innovative tech to ensure reliability and world-class gas network performance. • 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 Meet Jolin Teo Mei Fang, a 27-year-old engineer at SP Group. Women around the world have been challenging gender stereotypes and driving change in industries that were known to be male-dominated. Jolin is exemplary of this shift. She worked her way up from a technical officer, right after graduating from polytechnic, to an engineer and is now pursuing the sought-after Professional Engineer certification. Inspired by strong female leaders at SP Group, Jolin plays a key role in shaping the future of energy – assessing new power connections, planning network expansion and upgrading infrastructure to meet the country's growing needs. Her advice: "Be bold. Know you are equally capable, and don’t doubt yourself." We celebrate her journey and the incredible work colleagues like her do to "light up" Singapore! Find out more about Jolin’s journey on Mothership here: https://spgrp.sg/3FLiLor

𝗣𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 At SP Group, we believe that a truly inclusive society is one where every individual — regardless of ability — has the opportunity to thrive. That’s why we’re expanding our support for youths with moderate autism through a S$700,000 donation to St. Andrew's Autism Centre, through Community Chest Singapore. The launch was officiated by Ms Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State for Health and also for Digital Development and Information. This contribution will support more than 400 youths with moderate autism and their caregivers by funding vocational training, employment support, daily living assistance and financial aid for those in residential care. It’s a holistic approach to provide sustained, meaningful support for families navigating the complexities of special education needs.   Group CEO of SP Group, Stanley Huang also shared, “As we deepen our support for children and youth from lower-income backgrounds, we recognise the growing needs in the special education sector that require targeted intervention. In our partnership with St. Andrew’s Autism Centre and Community Chest, our focus is on helping youth with autism and their caregivers to be self-sustaining and improve quality of life.”   A key focus of our support is SAAC’s Dignity of Work programme — a full-year, structured F&B employment pathway to address the ‘post-18 cliff’, which helps address the struggle to find employment or meaningful engagement after completing their formal education after they turn 18.   We’re proud to stand alongside SAAC and Community Chest to build a more inclusive and supportive community.   #EmpoweringLivesforLife

  • Marking Singapore's first town centre to be retrofitted with a distributed district cooling (DDC) network in style ❄️ A little over a week ago, SP Group launched our sustainable DDC system at Our Tampines Hub to provide Tampines Regional Town Centre with a greener way to cool. This was made possible with the support of Minister Masagos Zulkifli, our building owner partners and the Tampines community, whose commitment paves the way for a cleaner tomorrow. With this DDC network, we are reimagining how cooling solutions are deployed in existing urban environments. Watch how DDC keeps Tampines cool 👇

Measuring carbon footprint can be challenging, especially with Scope 3 emissions, which come from sources outside a company’s control like production, transportation, and employee commute. SP Group currently uses a spend-based method, calculating emissions based on money spent on goods and services. But we're moving beyond this by working with our suppliers to gather specific emissions data, so we can gain clearer insights and support them in their decarbonisation efforts. This year alone, our initiatives have helped customers avoid over 717,426 tonnes CO2e, equivalent to taking 652,206 cars off the road for a year. With our solar, district cooling, and electromobility projects across Southeast Asia, we are dedicated to helping to create a sustainable future. • Tampines just got a lot cooler as it officially becomes Singapore's first town centre to be retrofitted with a distributed district cooling (DDC) network ❄️ Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development and Adviser to Tampines GRC GROs, and four other grassroots advisers – Poh-Koon Koh (Dr), Mr Desmond Choo, Mr Yam Keng Baey, and Dr Charlene Chen 陈以君 –launched the sustainable DDC network at Our Tampines Hub today. Designed specifically for brownfield developments, the DDC network provides cool air comfort while boosting energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. The network connects the most efficient chiller plants across seven buildings in the area: Century Square, CPF Tampines Building, Income At Tampines Junction, OCBC Tampines Centre 2, Our Tampines Hub, Tampines Mall, and Tampines 1. The DDC network will strengthen Tampines’ Eco Town ambitions by helping the town centre reduce its carbon emissions by 1,000 tonnes annually – equivalent to removing 910 cars off our roads. It will also achieve energy savings of more than 2.3 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually, which can power more than 710 three-room HDB households for a year. With Singapore forging ahead with greater sustainability efforts, Tampines is taking the lead and embracing a greener way to cool 🍃 Thanks to our partners Frasers Property Limited, CPF Board, CapitaLand, People's Association, OCBC and Income Insurance Limited.

  • Air conditioning accounts for a large part of the energy consumption and carbon emissions of buildings. Businesses are focussing on greater energy-efficiency to balance cool-air comfort with sustainability.   In Thailand, SP was part of the dialogue, Technology and Innovation Promotion for Enhancing Energy Efficiency in Air Conditioning Systems, an event organised by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) on 26 February 2025. 🌍❄️   SP Thailand’s Business Team Lead for Energy Solutions Kittipong Sae Heng spoke about our Cooling-as-a-Service business model. This model offers chiller plants in older buildings a new lease of life, by improving its energy efficiency, lowering lifecycle cost and reducing carbon emissions.    Learn more about sustainable cooling solution: https://spgrp.sg/4hljoly #SustainableCooling #CarbonReduction #EnergyEfficiency #SPGroup
