11/25/2013 With effect from 1 April 2013, Singapore Customs requires all declarations to be submitted before the goods are exported, including non-controlled and non-dutiable goods exported by sea and air. We have termed this requirement as Advance Export Declaration (AED).
2 Under Singapore's Regulation of Imports and Exports Regulations (RIER), an export declaration must be submitted to Singapore Customs for exports of all goods from Singapore. An administrative arrangement was approved in 1976 to allow traders to submit the export declaration within three days of the goods' export, for non-controlled and non-dutiable goods exported by sea and air.
