Dr. Brenda Poh, a University of Melbourne alumnus, brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as a pet surgeon. Her journey into veterinary medicine began with a childhood limited to caring for terrapins, fueling her desire to surround herself with animals and dedicate her life to their health and well-being. After graduating in 2012, Dr. Poh honed her skills in several busy veterinary clinics across Singapore, including an emergency center, where she developed a deep understanding of the complexities of pet health.

A pivotal part of Dr. Poh's early career was her experience with pocket pets like rabbits and guinea pigs, which enhanced her surgical expertise. This experience also reshaped her perspective on cats, leading her to adopt her first cat in 2018, who has become a beloved part of her family. Dr. Poh's special interests lie in ultrasonography and ophthalmology, areas where she continually seeks to expand her knowledge and skills.

Dr. Poh's commitment to exploring diverse treatments for animals led her to complete a small animal acupuncture course by the Chi Institute in Korea and China in 2019. She is currently furthering her expertise by pursuing a course in small animal Traditional Chinese Medicine, also offered by the Chi Institute.
